Job summary

Bay-Area-Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon is looking for a full-time CT Tech to perform various CT scans across all patient age groups. The successful candidate will have strong skills in operating imaging equipment, maintaining patient confidentiality, and providing excellent care.

We require a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and current certification in CT. Experience in a similar role is preferred. Competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program in Radiology.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist’s Certification in CT or obtain within 6 months.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans for patients of all ages.
  • Provide reliable scan results using computed tomography principles.
  • Interact effectively with patients and staff.

Education

Position: CT Tech (Full Time; 40 hours a week)

Time Type: Full time

Hours per Pay Period: 80

Shift: Varied

Compensation: $41.63 – $61.80 USD per hour (maximum rate for experienced individual)

Department: Radiology Administration

Job Description: Performs a variety of CT scans for patients of all ages. Applies principles, theories and techniques of computed tomography scanning to provide reliable scan results. Works with patients of all age groups (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric).

  • Ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position.
  • Ability to operate applicable office equipment.
  • Ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally and with the public.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
Education, Certifications, Licenses, Degrees
  • Graduate of Accredited Radiologic Technology program in Radiology.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist’s Certification in CT or obtain within 6 months.
  • Current ARRT and OBMI.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Image Wisely pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter.
  • Image Gently pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter.
  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience

One (1) year CT experience preferred.

  • Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects.
  • Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair.
  • May be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.
  • May require periodic use of personal computer.
