Job summary

Fccmocksville is seeking a CT technologist to perform CT scans, operate the CT suite, and support radiologists with diagnostic imaging. The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and adherence to sterile procedures as part of routine CT operations.

The candidate must be ARRT-registered or CT Registry preferred, graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and able to lift up to 50 pounds. A sign-on bonus is offered for this position.

Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology is required or CT Registry preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Must pass a basic FIT test and have full range of motion, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans of various body regions to produce diagnostic images.
• Operate CT equipment, develop films, and prepare the CT room for procedures.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Ensure availability and sterility of supplies; perform quality control monitoring as assigned.

Our candidate is given autonomy and becomes the patient's number one resource and advocate while performing CT procedures and assisting radiologists at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical skill.

Speaking of technical skills, the candidate is responsible for CT scanning procedures and related quality control monitoring as assigned. Performs CT scans of various anatomy of the body to produce clinically diagnostic images to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Ensures patient comfort and safety during procedures.

Responsible for CT scans of newborn, infant, pediatric, adolescence, adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for the availability and sterility of supplies used for assigned area. Operates CT equipment, develops films and prepares CT room for procedures.

Shift

Fri/Sat/Sun, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Requirements

The fine print:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. CT Registry preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work is fast paced. Visual acuity, hearing, stooping, reaching, and kneeling required.
• Average physical demands involve moving/transporting patients, lifting accessory equipment and pushing wheelchairs or stretchers.
