Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required.
• ARRTR (Radiography) – ARRT Radiography certification.
• ARRTCT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain low radiation dose per ALARA.
• Ensure infection control by cleaning and disinfecting rooms and equipment.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to reduce patient anxiety and ensure comfort.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Keep workflow, equipment, and areas organized and compliant with regulations.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required

Core Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjustingtechniquestomaintaindiagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, andmaintainrooms/equipment per infection control schedules;identifyand report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, andpostcareclearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provideageappropriatecare throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization asindicated
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Completeaccuratetimelydocumentation and ensure studies are correctlyfinalizedin RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed).
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and helpmaintain/restock crash cart andlifesupportequipment asrequired
• Organize dailyworkflowsto meet expectedtimeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and elevateissues to the supervisor.
