Wellstar Medical Group’s New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care. You will perform CT exams, adhere to safety protocols, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate results.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, clear explanations, and efficient workflow in a fast-paced mobile setting. A CT technologist with radiology experience and ARRT certifications is ideal.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required.
• ARRTR (Radiography).
• ARRTCT – ARRT Computed Tomography.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and postcare using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with proper venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and rework as needed.
• Complete timely documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS, including transfers.

0- hour work week. As of current, we are primarily Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, but as the CT mobile unit hits maximum functionality, this schedule will change.*

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required

Certifications

Core Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjustingtechniquestomaintaindiagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, andmaintainrooms/equipment per infection control schedules;identifyand report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, andpostcareclearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provideageappropriatecare throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization asindicated
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Completeaccuratetimelydocumentation and ensure studies are correctlyfinalizedin RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed).
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and helpmaintain/restock crash cart andlifesupportequipment asrequired
• Organize dailyworkflowsto meet expectedtimeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and elevateissues to the supervisor.
