Wellstar Medical Group's mobile CT unit in Augusta, GA seeks a CT Technologist to perform high-quality imaging and deliver a safe, compassionate patient experience. You will operate imaging systems, adhere to ALARA, and collaborate with a care team to support department flow.

The role requires radiology experience and ARRT licenses, with full-time hours and shift possibilities as the mobile unit expands capabilities. Join a mission-driven health system focused on patient wellbeing.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology expected.

Responsabilidades

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently with focus on patient safety and dose optimization (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two unique patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and provide post-care instructions clearly using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and retake if necessary, then finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with restocking life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required

Certifications

• ARRTR (Radiography)
• ARRTCT – ARRT Computed Tomography
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Core Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjustingtechniquestomaintaindiagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, andmaintainrooms/equipment per infection control schedules;identifyand report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, andpostcareclearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provideageappropriatecare throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization asindicated
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Completeaccuratetimelydocumentation and ensure studies are correctlyfinalizedin RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed).
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and helpmaintain/restock crash cart andlifesupportequipment asrequired
• Organize dailyworkflowsto meet expectedtimeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and elevateissues to the supervisor.
