Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a Cat Scan Technologist (CT) for variable shift, PRN. You will perform CT diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures on adults and pediatrics, ensuring patient preparation and safety.

Minimum three years of CT experience, NJDEP Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT certification, and BLS within 14 days of hire are required; associate degree preferred. Rate of pay is based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures on adult and pediatric patients.
• Prepare patients for scanning and ensure comfort.
• Determine appropriate type and dose of contrast; administer as needed.
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients.
• Perform venipuncture and IV maintenance per guidelines.
• Monitor patient condition for adverse reactions during procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• The Cat Scan Technologist will be responsible for performing Cat Scan diagnostic imaging and Cat Scan interventional procedures on adult and pediatric patients.
• Prepare patients for scanning.
• Determine appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered.
• Provide accurate explanations and instructions.
• Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines.
• Monitor the patient’s physical condition for any adverse reactions during the procedure.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in CT scan.
• Active and current New Jersey State License—NJDEP Radiologic Technologist.
• Maintains CEU Credits.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Applied Science.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
