Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking a CT Technologist at a Level 1 Trauma Center in New York. You will perform CT scans, verify patient identity, coordinate with physicians for diagnostic imaging, and ensure accurate documentation in EPIC and PACS.

The role requires NYS licensure, ARRT certification, and trauma center experience. The ideal candidate has two years of experience, BLS certification, and familiarity with Philips or Siemens equipment.

Qualifications

• :HCP’s currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the ARRT
• NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position)
• Two (2) Years' Experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Telemetry

Responsibilities

• :Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
• Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

Friday - Sunday 7am - 7:30pm EST, on call/callback, holidays and occasional weekends

CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure tohelp them feel comfortable.

• Injection certification preferred-must be willing to complete during orientation process.
