Job summary

Parkwest Medical Center, Covenant Health’s flagship facility in West Knoxville, seeks a Team Leader CT Technologist to supervise CT staff, coordinate activities with Imaging Department leadership, and support radiologists in patient care.

The role emphasizes safe CT operation, dose management, protocol optimization, training, and education of staff and students; requires ARRT CT certification and at least 1 year CT experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year CT experience.
• Must have ARRT (CT) certification.
• State licensure in accordance with Tennessee guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to CT staff and coordinate activities with the Imaging Director/Manager.
• Maintain policies, safety standards, QA program, and dose optimization per established guidelines.
• Identify CT educational needs and lead annual in-services and staff education.
• Participate in performance appraisals and hiring recommendations; coordinate payroll and scheduling.
• Perform complex CT tasks and ensure high-quality images; adjust protocols and dose as needed.
• Screen patients for safety, obtain consent, and educate patients to minimize anxiety.
• Assist radiologists with CT procedures and protocol development.
• Coordinate scheduling, patient flow, and inventory control.
• Educate and orient new staff and students; stay current with BLS and safety training.
