Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C) for CT Surgery to manage health problems and coordinate care for surgical patients in acute/inpatient settings. The PA-C CTS is prepared to assist in the operating room as First Assist when needed, following collaborative practice agreements.

The role requires a PA-C with a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies (or equivalent) and a current licensure, ACLS/BLS, and OR experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and technical competencies of a PA-C in the CTS Department with the ability to be First Assist in the OR.
• Able to evaluate medical problems of clients in the assigned practice setting and appropriately requests consults to other specialties when indicated.
• Provides education to patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications pertinent to the CT surgical patient’s condition.
