Job summary

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital is seeking a CT Scan Technologist for a part-time (.6 FTE) position with 12-hour weekend shifts. The role focuses on performing quality diagnostic CT scans under policies and procedures, with emphasis on patient satisfaction and adherence to clinical quality benchmarks.

Ideal candidates have ARRT CT certification, Wisconsin radiographer licensure, and an associate degree in Radiography, with BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved radiography school or equivalent on-the-job training to meet ARRT certification and Wisconsin licensure.
• Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge is beneficial.
• Minimum one year of clinical imaging experience is beneficial.
• ARIA: ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) credentials required.

CT SCAN TECHNOLOGIST

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Part Time (.6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period). 12-hour Weekend only shifts.

The CT Technologist, under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs quality diagnostic CT scans. The CT Technologist will have an above average knowledge of CT equipment. Will comply with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained. Will comply with and participate in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of Imaging Services standards and procedures as they relate to CT scan procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiography school, an associate degree in Radiography, or sufficient on the job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure requirements.
• Additional courses with computer skill credits in cross-sectional anatomy and/or credits in computer technology are beneficial.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging beneficial to enhance and develop skills.
• Previous experience in CT scanning and cross-sectional anatomy beneficial.

• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, and to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of computerized tomography techniques and methods, and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy to obtain quality images.
