Job Profile Summary

It is an experienced level role requiring basic knowledge of procedures and tools, working under moderate supervision, with some need for interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.

Job Overview

Under the direction of the CT Supervisor and Radiologist, performs CT procedures following radiological standards to ensure safe, accurate, and timely results, aiding in diagnosis. Performs a variety of CT procedures requiring independent judgment, assumes responsibility for designated areas, maintains supplies, and participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine, Radiological Technologist program.
• One (1) year of experience as a CT Technologist.
• Radiologic Technologist License.
• American Registry of Radiological Technologist (AART) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (NMTCB).
• Licensed by the Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
• CT Advanced Registry from AART or registry eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow hospital protocols for exam routines, operate equipment, prepare rooms, ensure proper identification and documentation, notify of equipment malfunctions, report findings, manage supplies, and maintain a clean and efficient work environment. Educate patients professionally, ensure quality standards, and collaborate effectively with staff and physicians.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, occasional sitting, walking, and lifting of 30-35 lbs.
• Manual dexterity for operating equipment.
• Sufficient hearing and visual acuity for examinations and monitoring.

Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Clerical skills.
• Knowledge of scanners, Med Rad inj., PACs, VRC, Powerscribe.
