This role focuses on using various imaging techniques and practices to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include operating CT Scan technology to produce images of internal organs, bones, and soft tissue. The role requires specialized knowledge gained through vocational education, training, and experience, primarily applied to patient care and scientific/laboratory jobs. It is an experienced level role requiring basic knowledge of procedures and tools, working under moderate supervision, with some need for interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.
Under the direction of the CT Supervisor and Radiologist, performs CT procedures following radiological standards to ensure safe, accurate, and timely results, aiding in diagnosis. Performs a variety of CT procedures requiring independent judgment, assumes responsibility for designated areas, maintains supplies, and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
Follow hospital protocols for exam routines, operate equipment, prepare rooms, ensure proper identification and documentation, notify of equipment malfunctions, report findings, manage supplies, and maintain a clean and efficient work environment. Educate patients professionally, ensure quality standards, and collaborate effectively with staff and physicians.
