Job summary

Maria Parham Health, part of Duke Lifepoint Healthcare, seeks a Cat Scan Technician (CT) to perform high-quality CT imaging in an acute care setting. You will review orders, educate patients, prepare and administer contrast, and monitor patient condition throughout exams.

This role requires ARRT certification in Radiology and CT, an active Radiation Operator license, and BLS. On-call availability within 30 minutes is expected; a full-time schedule with day shifts, weekends, and holidays rotation

Qualifications

Two-year certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree.
Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiology and Computed Tomography.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
On-Call Requirement: must accept on-call assignments and be available to report to the facility within 30 minutes of notification.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT imaging following established standards and safety protocols.
Review patient history and orders, educate patients on procedures.
Prepare and administer contrast media within scope and monitor patient condition during exam.
Ensure safe CT equipment operation, perform quality control checks, and report issues.
Position patients, analyze scan quality, and document results; provide coverage across shifts.
