Responsibilities

• Reviews patient's medical record and physician’s request prior to CT procedure to obtain identifying information and ensure patient safety.
• Determines proper settings; prepares equipment and supplies as needed for each exam/procedure.
• Performs CT scan for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes as ordered by physician with safety and compliance.
• Explains procedure to patient/family in a caring, compassionate manner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient for accurate imaging.
• Adjusts/operates imaging equipment to produce the required images.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and documents care.
• Maintains documentation and HIPAA/compliance; ensures data is captured for charges and records.
