Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Licensed by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE) and achieve ARRT certification within 90 days of graduation.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One-year Radiologic Technologist experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to respond to and withstand frequent crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of CT equipment and procedures with proper patient positioning.
• Reviews orders for completeness and consults with radiologists as needed.
• Selects protocol and technical settings to optimize image quality and patient safety.
• Performs venipuncture for contrast administration per dosing guidelines.
• Demonstrates knowledge of PACS/EMR and related imaging portals.
• Assists in training new staff and students.
