Job summary

Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Bluffton is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to join our radiology team on a PRN/full-time basis. The role performs routine and emergent CT studies, supports patient throughput, and collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.

Ideal candidates have ARRT Radiography and CT credentials, SCQRSA, IV access skills, and BLS certification, with strong attention to safety and accuracy in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Two-year Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or AMA/JRC‑ERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Minimum 1800 clinical hours in Radiography.
• SCQRSA Certification in Radiology required.
• ARRT (Radiography) required; Advanced ARRT Registry (CT) required within 18 months of hire.
• I.V. credentials required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required prior to first clinical shift (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergent computerized tomography scans for patient diagnosis and/or treatment.
• Participates in department Quality Improvement activities and equipment quality control plans.
• Adheres to Corporate Compliance initiatives, including proper coding, use of the charge master, and Medical Necessity Checks.
• Maintains professional and ethical standards as evidenced by core competencies and behavior standards.
• May work under direct supervision of the CT Manager or independently; may cover call and holidays.
• Responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the manager's discretion across sites within the system.
