Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL seeks a CT Scan Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across Radiology and CT, using advanced technology to support timely, accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with radiologists and multidisciplinary care teams, maintaining patient safety and comfort, and contributing to education of students and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited radiologic technology program, a recognized military radiologic technologist training program, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting.
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
• Experience as a hospital radiographer and CT technologist is preferred but not required.
• Certification by ARRT in Radiology or current NMTCB certification is required.
• CT certification within 24 months of hire is preferred.
• CPR certification required within three months of hire.
• Current license from IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) is required.
• ARRT certification in CT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services across Radiology and CT.
• Use specialized imaging equipment and techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to ensure efficient workflows and patient care.
• Serve as a clinical resource and contribute to education of students and staff.

Education

Accredited radiologic technology program

HS diploma or equivalent

Two years clinical experience (military preferred)

ARRT Certification in Radiology

CT Certification within 24 months

CPR certification

Illinois license

Job description

You may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus! 100% FTE, 3p-130a Monday-Friday, every third weekend, rotating holidays and call. You will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

CT Scan Technologist

• Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services across Radiology and CT, utilizing advanced technology to support timely, accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care.
• Use specialized imaging equipment and techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure efficient workflows, outstanding patient experiences, and optimal clinical outcomes.
• Join a culture of excellence and continuous learning, serving as a clinical resource and contributing to the education of students and fellow healthcare professionals.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
• Overtime
