Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school and registered with ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT).
• Maintain state license as a general radiographer and CT in Oregon.
• Minimum one year of current experience within the last three years in a similar role.
• Maintain CPR/BCLS for Healthcare Workers.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and protect patient confidentiality.
• Follow Infection Control and OSHA standards in daily practice.
• Read, write and communicate in English effectively.
• Understand medical/surgical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare facilities and equipment; calibrate and adjust imaging devices; prepare contrasts and supplies.
• Position patients and select imaging devices as prescribed.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns during pre-screening.
• Prepare patients for CT or radiographic procedures and assist during procedures.
• Follow prescribed CT/radiography protocols and ensure patient safety.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to staff.
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
• Process and transfer imaging data to storage and label studies.
• Maintain patient documentation and billing codes; assist with scheduling.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and safety practices; escalate faults as needed.
• Perform tasks within scope of education and hospital policy.
