Job summary

Southeast Colorado Hospital District in Springfield, CO seeks a Radiology Technician Level I to perform routine diagnostic imaging under supervision. You will operate imaging equipment, prepare patients, and follow safety standards to deliver high-quality images for radiologist review.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure as applicable, and BLS/CPR. You will also document and archive patient studies while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree from an accredited school for Radiology Technology.
• Must have a current ARRT and license in accordance to state regulations.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State licensure if required by law.
• BLS through the American Red Cross Association or American Heart Association (CPR).

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and initiates CT images based on physician order and patient education.
• Safely administers contrast media and monitors patient condition.
• Responds to changes in patient conditions and reports appropriately.
• Employs imaging techniques to yield clear images and ensures equipment functionality.
• Performs radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by attending physicians.
• Records patient information and maintains EMR.
• Performs quality control checks and audits on radiologic equipment.
• Sets up and operates equipment for standard and special radiographs.
• Coordinates patient testing and explains procedures.
• Ensures exams are archived and accessible for comparison.
