Job summary

Surepoint Medical Centers in Fort Worth is seeking a Radiology Specialist to perform CT scans and general radiology procedures in a fast-paced setting. You will ensure patient safety, image quality, and compliance with Texas state laws and CLIA standards.

The role requires ARRT registration, Texas MRT licensure, and CT experience, with BLS; ACLS a plus. You’ll work closely with RN staff and may assist with laboratory and clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Clinical CT experience documented.
• Able to perform CT procedures without constant supervision.
• Able to assist with sterile procedures.
• Must be registered with ARRT.
• Current BLS; ACLS a plus.
• Continuing education hours required to renew license.
• Pass background checks.
• At least 2 years Radiology/CT experience preferred.
• Provide patient care tasks as delegated by RN/physician.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for X-ray and CT scan, explain procedure to patient and family.
• Position patient and arrange immobilization and support devices.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to limit exposure.
• Adjust equipment controls for proper voltage and exposure time.
• Administer routine X-ray exams.
• Document procedures and patient condition in chart.
• Disinfect radiology room and equipment; maintain supplies.
• Perform radiology QA tests and maintain records.
• Assist with front-end registration or clerical duties as necessary.
• Work all shifts including day, evening, weekends and holidays as needed.
