Job summary

University of South Alabama Health System is seeking a Radiology/CT Technologist to rotate within Radiology and CT departments, assist with student training, and manage imaging tasks.  The role requires ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology within 1 year and advanced modality experience is highly preferred.

The successful candidate will maintain strict radiation safety protocols, collaborate with Radiologists, prepare patients for contrast injections, and ensure high-quality imaging for PACS review.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and approved radiologic technology course.
• 1 year of experience in routine diagnostic procedures
• Completion of an approved program in advanced modality or 1 year of advanced modality experience
• ARRT registry in Diagnostic Radiology within 1 year required
• Advanced registry highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Rotate within Radiology and CT departments as needed
• Assist with training Radiology and CT students
• Perform digital image management tasks including annotations
• Maintain competency with imaging equipment and supplies (CT, fluoroscopy, post processing and radiology equipment)
• Provide radiation protection to patients, family, staff and self
• Directly assist Radiologist during procedures in Radiology and/or CT
• Prepare patient for IV injections and administer contrast
• Ensure images are available for physician review on PACS
