Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital is seeking a Radiology Supervisor to lead CT Technologists and Radiology Assistants, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has ARRT CT certification, state licensure, BLS, and 3+ years of imaging experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(ARRT) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) depending on modality
• Current state licensure dependent on modality
• Certification in Computed Tomography (CT): R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross
• Demonstrated proficiency in operation of imaging equipment, computer skills, communication and interpersonal skills
• Three years of patient care delivery
• One year of supervisory experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Review radiographs to ensure optimum quality for interpretation.
• Provide assistance and assume responsibility of Radiology Manager in their absence; function as a staff technologist as needed and perform front desk secretarial and film library responsibilities.
• Provide necessary support to staff to maintain a repeat rate of 3% or less.
• Ensure all technical data is input into computer by staff in a timely and accurate manner, including follow-up with daily incomplete work reports and charges.
• Deliver documentation and counseling of Technologists, students and supporting personnel on discipline, conduct, attendance, payroll responsibilities and related matters.
• Deliver yearly employee evaluations and provide input into character and job performance.
• Ensure staff maintain clinical competence by training and orientation of new employees.
• Establish and maintain department schedules, call, daily, monthly, holiday and take call when necessary.
• Maintain a procedure manual, including protocols and techniques for each procedure.
• Maintain compliance with credentialing bodies (ACR, Medicare, Medicaid) and policies/procedures required by laws.
• Ensure equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Assess patient readiness and determine best learning method; deliver education and obtain feedback or demonstrations to validate learning.
• Provide instructions for tests/procedures, diagnoses and discharge when appropriate.
