Job Description

Performs radiographic and CT procedures at a technical and professional level not requiring constant supervision. The radiographer/CT technologist must assume responsibility, exercising independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to ensure quality images and pertinent information for diagnosis by the interpreting physician.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure

• For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB; Radiologic Technologist certification through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners or applicable state; Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• For Pennsylvania locations: Same ARRT or NMTCB certification; Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• CT Certified by ARRT.
• Two years' experience in Radiology or CT.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Includes participating in documentation and evaluation of clinical performance, performing daily QA on equipment, completing documentation for procedures, employing safety techniques, utilizing communication devices, performing IV insertion/blood draws, conducting diagnostic X-ray and CT exams, assisting with interventional procedures, administering contrast media, utilizing PACS and workstation software, and demonstrating proficiency with CT scanners, pressure injectors, and Accuvein.

Physical Requirements

Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and feeling. Ability to lift and move patients of all weights, with varying assistance. Normal hearing and visual acuity. Ability to read and write in English.

Working Environment

Exposure to body fluids, tissues, contagious diseases, sharps, gases, cleaning agents, and radiation. High-stress environment with interruptions.

• Ability to perform complex mental activities and work under stress.
• Capable of independent judgment and teamwork.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, perform basic math, and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Additional Job Details

Shift: Sunday-Wednesday, 9:30 PM - 7:00 AM. Training to operate O-arm for emergent neuro surgeries. Scheduled weekly hours: 36. Location: UHC, 327 Medical Park Drive, Bridgeport, WV.
