Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Michigan is seeking a CT Process Owner to lead advanced analysis and visualization of industrial CT scan data using VGStudio MAX for quality assurance, design validation, and process development.

The role partners with NDT Level 3s, x-ray readers, design engineering, quality teams, and manufacturing to optimize inspection workflows and enable data-driven decisions in line with aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Engineering.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain CT-specific techniques, inspection protocols, operating procedures, and data review methods aligned with customer standards.
• Support qualification of new CT systems, materials, and methods through scan strategy optimization and digital simulation analysis.
• Establish best practices and standards for CAD-to-scan alignment and automated inspection macros in VGStudio MAX.
• Develop and maintain CT data analysis macros using VGStudio MAX for wall thickness measurements, dimensional inspection and visualization.
• Implement standardized workflows for CT data processing including correlation and Gage R&R studies.
• Collaborate with design engineering and metrology to resolve product variation issues and support root cause analysis.
• Analyze service and production standards and limitations.
• Find solutions to maintain product flow.
• Development and improvement of CT processes.
• Provide technical support to engineers and other departments to support tooling development and process improvements.
