Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a CT/MRI Technologist to perform CT and MRI procedures for diagnoses across age groups. The role requires independent practice, patient safety vigilance, and collaboration with radiologists to optimize protocols.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a hospital or clinic preferred.
• High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited CT/MRI education program.
• Experience with neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations.
• ARRT MR and CT certification; CPR and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and records for appropriateness of examination.
• Perform CT/MRI procedures, including setup, scanning, and processing.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during the exam; discuss issues with radiologist as needed.
• Inspect and report equipment status; notify Radiology Director of issues.
• Assist in patient positioning, lifting, and transfer to/from the exam table.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Operate radiographic equipment and select appropriate technical factors.
• Document procedures in the patient logbook.
• Maintain cleanliness and supplies in the assigned area; report shortages.
• Follow universal precautions per infection control program.
• Develop x-ray films using automatic equipment.
• Participate in teaching programs and in-service education as required.
• Orient new personnel to department procedures.
