Job summary

Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist specialized in CT or MRI to perform imaging procedures under the supervision of the chief technologist. The role requires independent judgment, adherence to radiation safety, and capability to train other staff.

Qualifications

• GED Required
• AS Preferred
• Formal radiological technology training in CT or MR and meets the requirements for certification in either CT or MR
• Cat Scan Systems and, or MRI Systems
• PACS
• RIS
• Registered Radiologic Technologist - Injection Required
• ARRT Required

Responsibilities

• Patient and room preparation: entering patient data into RIS and other systems; position patient for scan.
• Direct involvement during procedure: assist radiologist during biopsy; monitor progression.
• Obtain cross sectional images: set protocols and sequences for high quality images.
• Maintain imaging workflow in IDXRad and GE Centricity (PACS); verify labeling and orientation.
