Job summary

Baptist Health in Paducah, KY seeks a CT/MRI Technician for a full-time weekday schedule (8:30am-5pm) with rotation. No current on-call or holiday coverage, responsibilities include acquiring high-quality CT and MRI images and assisting radiologists.

Eligible candidates will have an ARRT-certified Radiography credential, an ARRT CT/MRI registration plan within 1 year, Kentucky licensure, and BLS. Prior hospital imaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified or eligible in Radiography.
• Must obtain ARRT CT and/or MRI registry within 1 year of hire.
• Current Kentucky licensure in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images per protocols and orders.
• Perform basic image processing (windowing, reconstruction, MPR) to enhance visualization.
• Assist radiologists in image interpretation.
• Position patients and provide instructions to minimize motion artifacts.

Summary

CT/MRI Tech

No call currently (subject to change)

Performing both CT and MRI on a rotation daily

Job Duties

• Operate CT and MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Perform basic image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.
• Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation.
• Position patients appropriately on the table and provide instructions for maintaining stillness during the examination to minimize motion artifacts.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
• Military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program can substitute for Associate degree requirement
• ARRT registry in Radiography (R)
• Must obtain ARRT registry in CT and/or MRI within one year of hire date
• Current license with Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
• Basic Life Support

Preferred Requirements

• Experience working as a CT and/or MRI Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred
