Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a CT/MRI Technologist to perform radiologic imaging on a daily rotation, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation. Positioning and patient instruction are essential to minimize artifacts while maintaining safety and comfort.

The role requires ARRT radiography certification, KY imaging license, and BLS, with ARRT CT/MRI registries to be obtained within a year. This is a full-time, day-shift position in the Radiology Department.

Qualifications

• ASSOCIATE degree or higher from an ARRT-recognized program or equivalent.
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification is required.
• Must obtain ARRT CT and/or MRI registries within 12 months of hire.
• Current license with Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images per protocol and physician orders.
• Perform image processing techniques (windowing, reconstruction, multiplanar reformats) to improve visualization.
• Assist radiologists in image interpretation and ensure accurate documentation.
• Position patients and provide instructions to minimize motion and artifacts during exams.

No call currently (subject to change)

Performing both CT and MRI on a rotation daily

Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)/Computed Tomography (CT) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of patients for medical interpretation.

Job Duties:

• Operate CT and MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Perform basic image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.
• Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation.
• Position patients appropriately on the table and provide instructions for maintaining stillness during the examination to minimize motion artifacts.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
• Military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program can substitute for Associate degree requirement
• ARRT registry in Radiography (R)
• Must obtain ARRT registry in CT and/or MRI within one year of hire date
• Current license with Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
• Basic Life Support

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience working as a CT and/or MRI Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred
