Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related field or current radiology student.
• Broad knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Set up rooms before procedures and ensure readiness.
• Clean rooms promptly after procedures.
• Assist patients with changing, maintain modesty and comfort, respond to call lights.
• Discharge patient to appropriate destination.
• Verify patient identification and prepare ID bands.
• Schedule scans and manage the queue.
• Review physician orders, assess patient needs, and communicate with inpatient flow.
• Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS and report malfunctions.
• Follow Radiation/MRI Safety Guidelines and operate equipment carefully.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers and patients.
• Assess patient readiness and learning needs, considering diversity and inclusion.
• Provide clear verbal/written instructions for tests and procedures.
