Job summary

AdventHealth in the United States is seeking a radiology CT technologist to perform high-quality CT exams, manage IV contrast, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with radiologists to provide accurate diagnoses and maintain compliance with safety standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of CT/X-ray procedures, radiation safety, and the ability to work with diverse ages.

Qualifications

• Must learn and follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures.
• Follow basic radiation safety concepts to keep exposure low for patients and staff.
• Complete exams in an acceptable time frame to meet ED/Observation TAT goals.
• Assess, start and confirm IV placement for CT studies.
• Assess, explain and perform CT and XR studies on patients of all ages.
• Past CTA reconstruction skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations per provider orders and departmental protocols.
• Review patient history to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast material and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Position patients accurately and safely, maintaining ALARA principles.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers for imaging and care continuity.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked and ready; notify staff if inventory is low.
• Document imaging in EMR and PACS; educate patients about exams and timelines.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adapt protocols for all ages.
• Other duties as assigned.
