Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Radiography certification, CT certification preferred, and state licensure. Experience in clinical CT imaging and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography; CT certification preferred.
  • State licensure as required.
  • Experience in a clinical CT imaging setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans on patients per physician orders, following protocols and safety standards.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures and address concerns.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment and ensure safety compliance.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Assist in patient positioning to obtain high-quality images.
  • Review images for quality before radiologist review.
  • Document procedures and interactions in medical records.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and infection control practices.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement.
  • Keep current with CT technology and continuing education.
