Northwell Health is seeking a CT Technologist for Danbury Hospital, CT Scan department. The role focuses on performing high-quality diagnostic CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate has ARRT/Radiographer credentials, a high school diploma, and at least one year of radiology experience; CT experience is preferred. The position involves patient interaction, training others, and adherence to compliance standards in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; continuing education; 24 CEU credits for license.
• Credentials: ARRT, Radiographer.
• Minimum Experience: one year.
• Desired: CT Scan experience preferred and patient care in radiology settings.

Responsibilities

• Introduces and greets patient.
• Responsible for the care and safety of patients.
• Instructs and prepares patient for x-ray and/or fluoroscopic exam.
• Determines most suitable posture and positions, and shields patient accordingly.
• Produce high-quality x-rays.
• Assists with training students and ancillary personnel.
• Interacts professionally with patients and family.
• Completes all work before clocking out and leaving.
• Attends annual hospital review and departmental in-services meetings.
• Practices medicine and aseptic procedures.
• May lead, coach, and mentor staff members.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
