Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT examinations across all patient ages, ensuring high-quality imaging and strict adherence to radiation safety standards. You will support radiologists and work within HIS/RIS/PACS systems, while maintaining patient care excellence in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT Radiology certification, RTR licensure in Massachusetts, CT sub-specialty within 1 year, BLS, and CEU maintenance.

Qualifications

ARRT certification in Radiology is required.
RTR licensure in Commonwealth Massachusetts is required.
CT modality requires a Sub-specialty (CT) certification within 1 year of employment.
BLS certification is required.
Maintaining all area specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation is required.

Responsibilities

Obtains and records appropriate patient clinical information and/or history; verifies physician orders and reviews relevant laboratory results; adjusts imaging procedures to patient size, age, or condition.
Assists, transfers and positions patients; inputs appropriate protocol for Radiologist discretion; monitors computer function during examinations.
Prepares and administers contrast media; documents work in HIS/RIS/PACS; ensures image quality and safety.
Checks operation of equipment; maintains daily QA and cleanliness; keeps rooms stocked.
Keeps up to date with changes in CT and radiologic technology by inservice study, courses or seminars.
Assists in other modalities as needed.
