Qualifications

• License/Registration/Certification Required: BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)
• ARRT registered (RT) and radiography (R)
• OR NMTCB registered (CNMT) or Unrestricted state license
• Successful completion of an accredited imaging technology program
• Typically requires one year of clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Complies with technologist scope of practice per organization guidelines; learns advanced imaging procedures with proper patient positioning and protocol compliance.
• Prepares and rooms the patient, gathering/updating health information and maintaining equipment.
• Learns POCT procedures (e.g., Serum creatinine) using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Learns basic clinical tasks (IV start, EKG) and assists Radiologist/APC with image-guided procedures.
• Learns to administer routine medications under orders, including contrast media and oxygen.
• Communicates effectively with Radiologist/APC, care team and patients to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Performs routine quality control and cleaning of equipment; identifies issues and processes for resolution.
