Qualifications

• One year of experience in each modality preferred.
• ER hospital setting experience preferred.
• ARRT and BLS certifications required.
• Multimodality certifications in two or more modalities recommended.
• Awareness of exposure to body fluids and infectious diseases.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanning equipment to obtain detailed images.
• Position patients accurately for scans.
• Perform regular warm-up procedures on the CT scanner.
• Sterilize and maintain radiologic equipment.
• Interpret and follow physician's scanning instructions.
• Administer radiocontrast agents as needed.
• Assess CT scans for quality and report deficiencies.
• Communicate procedures and reassure patients throughout the scan.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions or complications.
• Maintain radiologic supplies inventory.
