Job summary

Dayton Physicians Network is seeking a CT Technologist to provide imaging services across Radiation Oncology described as computed tomography imaging at our Atrium Medical Center clinic location.

The position is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, no evenings, weekends, or holidays. Benefits include health, dental, and vision, plus a comprehensive PTO package and retirement plan.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma required.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • CT certification required.
  • 3–5 years CT experience.
  • CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation producing equipment.
  • Acquire chart data and verify room setup and contraindications.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media within scope of practice.
  • Educate patients about the procedure and ensure cooperation.
  • Maintain CT area and QA for proper results.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit and print images as applicable.

Summary

The CT Technologist provides imaging services throughout Radiation Oncology Services defined as computed tomography imaging at our Atrium Medical Center clinic location.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, eight‑hour shifts. No evenings, weekends or holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic CT procedures on patients utilizing ionizing radiation producing equipment.
  • Acquire patients’ chart data and requisition, review to determine correct room set‑up and identify any medical problems or contraindications.
  • Verify patients’ demographic data in all applicable systems.
  • Check and prepare patients prior to CT study.
  • Educate patients regarding the procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Perform VNA punctures as necessary and maintain competencies.
  • Maintain all aspects of the CT area to ensure proper quality‑assurance results.
  • Acquiring, archiving, transmitting and printing images as applicable.
  • Observe equipment dysfunctions and report problems to appropriate individuals.
  • Maintain equipment uptime at the highest level for patient accessibility.
  • Responsible for supplies, equipment operations and related duties.
  • Assist with scheduling of patients as needed.
  • Work under scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure for administration of medications and operation of technical equipment.
  • Follow all health‑care privacy and safety rules and adhere to Dayton Physicians Core Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Not applicable.

Required Education
  • High‑school diploma.
  • Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification in CT.
  • 3–5 years previous CT experience.
  • CPR certification required.
General Skill Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience working with a practice‑management system.
  • Attendance and punctuality essential for excellent customer service.
Physical/Mental Demands

The employee regularly uses hands to assist patients, reach with hands and arms; talks or hears. Requires standing, walking and sitting. Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 10 lb and occasionally up to 50 lb. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Environmental/Working Conditions

Work involves patient care and non‑patient care environments with frequent contact with office staff and physicians. Work may be stressful. Employee is exposed to radiation, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals; personal protection required. Radiation exposure will be monitored by film badge.
