Job summary

Dayton Physicians is seeking a Part-Time CT Tech for imaging services at our Kettering office in Ohio. This role includes performing diagnostic CT procedures while ensuring patient care and safety.

You will educate patients on the CT process, prepare them for the exams, and maintain quality standards in the imaging department. The position offers flexibility with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience with diagnostic CT procedures and ionizing radiation.
• Knowledge of patient care and preparation for CT studies.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures and ensure cooperation.

Job description

The CT Tech (Part Time) provides imaging services throughout Radiation Oncology Services, defined as computed tomography imaging at our Kettering office location.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

3 days per week (8-hour shifts)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic CT procedures on patients utilizing ionizing radiation producing equipment;
• Acquires patients' chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered;
• Verifies the patients' demographic data is correct in all applicable systems;
• Checks and prepares patients prior to CT study;
• Educates patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation;
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations;
• Performs VNA punctures as necessary and maintains competencies;
• Maintains all aspects of the CT area to ensure proper quality assurance results;
• Is knowledgeable in acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images – when applicable;
• Observes potential equipment dysfunctions and reports problems to appropriate individuals;
• Maintains available equipment up‑time at the highest level for patient accessibility;
• Has responsibilities for supplies, equipment operations and related duties;
