Mount Sinai Queens is seeking a CT Technologist for the Radiology department. The role involves performing CT scans, preparing and positioning patients, and coordinating with radiologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic images in a patient-friendly environment.

Requirements include NY State L.R.T., ARRT CT certification, CPR, and a minimum of 2 years CT experience (new graduates considered). The position is full-time, evening shifts, based in Queens, NY.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive CT experience (will consider new graduates).
• New York State License (L.R.T.) and ARRT CT certification; current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and other diagnostic exams.
• Assist, prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Operate CT imaging equipment and contrast injectors per departmental protocols.
• Program and load contrast media injectors and coordinate scan protocols with radiologist.
• Ensure image labeling, security, and timely transfer to PACS; maintain patient records in IDX.
• Maintain infection control; ensure room cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures and post-procedure instructions.
• Assist with ancillary clerical tasks and report equipment issues to supervisor.
