Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the processing of scintillator materials, including furnace loading and unloading, product formation and densification, data collection, product sampling, analytical testing (Particle Size Analysis and ICP), and handling of both liquid and solid chemicals.

At our Milwaukee site, teams design and manufacture the X-ray tubes and detectors at the heart of GE HealthCare's CT imaging systems.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (or local equivalent 2 year degree) or a High School diploma (or local equivalent) with 2+ years technical experience.
• Ability to understand and interpret basic written technical information.
• Ability to work well with limited direction and information.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor calcine furnace, disk mill, and compactor equipment in the powder processing room to produce high-quality CT subassembly materials.
• Ensure strict compliance with Environmental Health & Safety standards, including PPE, clean/organized work areas, and prompt hazard reporting.
• Follow GE HealthCare’s Quality Management System and processes to deliver defect-free material with accurate production records.
• Achieve production delivery targets by monitoring daily output and escalating issues to meet customer needs.
• Minimize scrap and downtime by following procedures, escalating process issues, and supporting cost-efficient manufacturing.
• Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement by supporting a safe, positive work environment.
