This position is seeking board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) or Physician Assistants (PA). Experience in a cardiothoracic intensive care unit (CT-ICU) as an APP, or a post grad ICU fellowship is required for application. CT-ICU intensivists provide supervision. Duties include: admission directly from the operating room and management of hemodynamically complex, post op cardiac surgery patients. Familiarity with mechanical support devices ie ECMO, VADs, and IABPs as well as knowledge of heart transplant management is preferred but not required. Experience with procedures including central line, arterial line placement and intubation are helpful but not required.
