The Elliot is seeking a CT Department Tech Assistant to support the Imaging team in Manchester, NH. This role involves transporting patients, assisting with patient positioning, and preparing the CT suite for exams, while maintaining strict confidentiality and accurate recordkeeping.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in healthcare settings and familiarity with imaging clerical functions. This position offers job stability and comprehensive benefits as part of our imaging department.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in health care setting performing similar work activities.
• Knowledge of computerized clerical functions within imaging.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transporting patients within the Radiology department, including CDU and Emergency Department.
• Assist in patient positioning, including transfers to and from stretchers.
• Prepare the CT suite by cleaning, stocking, and setting up for exams.
• Handle communications via phone and paging system.
• Deliver contrast medium to floors as needed for upcoming CT exams.
• Maintain records with confidentiality and follow policy.

About the Job:

As an integral part of the Imaging team, provides clerical and communication support integrating medical knowledge, clerical skills, staff and patient interaction, and care. A department assistant recognizes conditions essential for successful completion of patient processing and exercises independent professional and ethical judgment.

What You’ll Do:

• Assists in the transportation of patients throughout the Radiology department, including CDU and Emergency Department
• Assists in patient positioning, including lateral transfers to and from stretchers
• Assists in the preparing the CT suite by cleaning, stocking, and setting up for exams
• Communications utilizing phone and paging system
• Prepares upcoming CT exams by delivering contrast medium as needed to the floors as needed
• Assists in maintaining records, respecting confidentiality and follows established policy

Who You Are:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
