Job summary

SSM Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computerized tomographic procedures for diagnostic purposes. This role requires the candidate to prepare patients and ensure excellent procedural safety and accuracy.

Required qualifications include completion of a relevant radiology program and certifications in BLS and ARRT. The position offers a competitive sign-on bonus and a work schedule of 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification required.

Job Summary

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. Responsibilities include performing at least three of the following procedures: biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations, or fiducial placement.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program.
