Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a CST Educator to develop and deliver curriculum for Surgical Technology programs. The role is grant-funded, temporary, and focuses on student learning through lectures, labs, simulations, and clinical rotations.

You will evaluate student progress, collaborate with preceptors, and contribute to quality improvement in education programs while maintaining records. Flexibility for varied hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a teaching environment.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required; de-escalation training by 90 days.
• Must be able to coordinate with clinical sites and preceptors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an engaging curriculum aligned with accreditation standards for Surgical Technology programs.
• Assess student progress through written and practical evaluations and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with preceptors and clinical sites to ensure a seamless learning experience.
• Maintain accurate student records and participate in program development initiatives.
• Serve as a resource on policies, procedures, and evidence-based practice for the healthcare team.
