Sign On Bonus - $2,500 – Non-experienced / New Grad or ProMedica Surgical Tech Intern in Certified Surgical Technician role
Sign On Bonus - $5,000 – 1 to 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician
Sign On Bonus - $7,500 – Greater than 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician
The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital will provide our community with its first-ever wellness destination. Our families and friends will have improved access to nutrition education, exercise resources, and state-of-the-art care. The facility spans over 200,000 square feet and includes 58 acute care beds in a new, state-of-the-art regional hospital. Our campus also features an organic farm with access to nutrition, education, and therapies. We aim to serve as a community hub that touches residents of all ages and promotes a higher quality of life. This partnership between ProMedica and the community sets a new standard for health and wellness in Lenawee County.
Prepares operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques. Provides technical services and assists during operative procedures on patients from infants to geriatrics, as assigned and directed.
Education: Graduate of an approved surgical technician program or licensed as LPN in the State of Michigan.
Skills: Must be able to read and speak English, communicate effectively in person, adapt to a changing environment, and be open to new ideas. Ability to input information into computer programs, maintain patient charts, records, logs, use basic math, research information, and operate diagnostic equipment.
Years of Experience: Not applicable.
License: LPN license in Michigan if not a graduate of an approved surgical technician program.
Certification: BCLS and Surgical Technologist (CST) certification if not an LPN. CST certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
