Job summary

Jandbmedical in Wixom, MI is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support the Med Docs Team by following up with patients and physicians to ensure all documents for payment are obtained and in order.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional evenings and weekends. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer service role, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create the prescription and send to the doctor for approval after identifying product needs.
• Follow up to ensure prescription is received.
• Refer requests that are off contract to the Prior Authorization team.
• Verify issued prescriptions comply with insurance requirements.
• Set up products to ship once in order.
• Enter notes and other relevant information into the system.
• Complete all required training.
• Inform Team Support of unusual client issues or matters needing attention.
• Submit reports to leaders as requested.

Description

The Customer Service Representative – Med Docs Team is responsible for following up with patients and/or their physician to ensure that all documents required for payment for medical supplies orders have been obtained and are in order.

Essential Functions:

• Once Assessment team has identified specific product needs (typically diabetic, incontinence or urological supplies), Med Docs team member creates the prescription and sends to client’s doctor for approval.
• Performs follow up as needed to ensure prescription is received.
• If request is off contract, refers request to the Prior Authorization team.
• Once received, verifies that issued prescription comply with all requirements of insurance provider.
• If all is in order, set up product to ship.
• Notes, comments or other relevant information into system.
• Complete all training as required.
• Inform Team Support if there are unusual client issues or matters requiring her attention or intervention.
• Make suggestions and assists with projects as able.
• Submit reports to leaders as requested.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position, with the expectation of maintaining a regular work schedule Monday – Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer service role requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks at various stages of completion.
• Previous experience demonstrated the ability to follow multi-step procedures and apply attention to detail.
• Previous experience requires the ability to effectively use computer system and maintain good records.
