Job summary

This role is part of the 1199SEIU bargaining unit and reports to the CSP Supervisor. The position requires adapting to adult interaction levels, completing annual competency requirements, and working flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certified Central Processing Tech (CSP) - HSPA required.
• 1 year CSP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment/instrument sets are complete and in good working order.
• Report any problems to the supervisor.
• Conform to all rules and regulations concerning sterilization and aseptic techniques.
• Assemble case carts for surgical procedures as required by the pick list.
• Coordinate activity with CSP/OR Materials Manager, OR Manager, or designee to prioritize days' work.
• Ensure proper inventory levels maintained on items within the Central Processing department and Surgery department.
• Participate in centralized portable equipment management process.
• Perform minor repairs on equipment if necessary.
