Job summary

Bloomberg is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect in NYC to lead the Process & Technology Optimization (PTO) within CSOC. You will own technology areas such as Network Security, EDR, Cloud, and Telemetry, integrate vendor products, and drive scalable security improvements across the enterprise.

You will mentor staff, define scalable solutions, and ensure timely delivery while collaborating with Event Analysis, Threat Hunting, and Incident Response teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering, systems design, or a cybersecurity operations center role.
• Experience with data storage and retrieval systems (e.g. SIEM, databases, data lakes, etc.)
• Able to consider a complex process and identify optimization opportunities
• Security is a rapidly evolving field; able to quickly understand new technologies and products
• Experience with automation and Low Code/No Code platforms such as a SOAR
• Experience managing vendor relationships or driving delivery through external engineering or product teams

Responsibilities

• Own CSOC technology and process areas, manage and integrate vendor products, and ensure vision-consistent implementation.
• Identify systemic cybersecurity operations issues and prioritize resolutions with management.
• Formalize and disseminate best practices to make security operations repeatable.
• Pilot and evaluate emerging technologies for practical adoption.
• Mentor PTO and CSOC staff to build skills and ownership.
• Collaborate with Event Analysis, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, and other CSOC functions to improve operations.
