Job summary

CSNW, a subsidiary of RH2 Engineering, invites driven engineers to contribute to meaningful public infrastructure projects. You will design electrical control systems for automated applications in municipal and industrial settings, and gain mentorship while supporting water, wastewater, and transportation projects.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration across offices, and growth toward professional licensure. Strong communication and a thirst for hands-on engineering are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics engineering or related field.
  • EIT certification within 1 year; PE licensure pursued within 4–5 years.
  • Internship or prior design/programming exposure in engineering/public works is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and developing electrical control systems for automated municipal and industrial applications.
  • Support projects involving water, wastewater, and transportation infrastructure.
  • Participate in inspections, field instrumentation testing, troubleshooting, and startup of control systems.
  • Collaborate across offices and disciplines on multi-office project teams.
  • Contribute to a culture of problem-solving, learning, and professional growth.

Career Fair Applicant - Control Systems NW (CSNW)

At CSNW, a subsidiary of RH2 Engineering, you will collaborate with a team of experienced professionals working on meaningful public infrastructure projects that improve water, wastewater, transportation and environmental systems. What You Will Do:

  • Apply your education to real-world challenges while receiving mentorship and training from experienced engineers
  • Support projects involving public water, wastewater, stormwater, irrigation, and transportation infrastructure
  • Design and develop electrical control systems for automated control systems in municipal and industrial applications
  • Participate in inspections of control system installations, field instrumentation testing, troubleshooting, and startup.
  • Work across offices and disciplines to contribute to multi-office project teams
  • Engage in a supportive team culture that encourages asking questions, solving problems, and growing professionally

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • Strong academic record, and demonstrated intellectual curiosity
  • Previous design or programming internship in the engineering or public works industry is a plus
  • Motivation to learn, adapt, and contribute across a variety of project types
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organized, responsive, and able to balance multiple responsibilities in a team environment
  • Genuine interest in public sector infrastructure design and community-focused solutions

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

  • EIT certification within 1 year required; completed EIT preferred
  • Desire to pursue PE licensure within 4-5 years

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D preferred
  • PLC/ operator interface software development
  • SCADA HMI application software
  • Basic programming for Python, C, C#, Java, and/or Rust

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate (full-time hires) start around $40/hour and will vary based on experience and qualifications
  • Overtime (time and a half) is paid for hours exceeding 40 per week
