Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to join the surgical team. The CSFA will assist during operative procedures, work under the surgeon's direction, and ensure safety and efficiency in the operating room.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2 Years of Diversified Operating Room Experience required.
• RN Licensure or NBSTSA certifications acceptable per policy.
• Current CSFA certification required.
• Current CPR/BCLS certification required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of asepsis and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Assists as first assistant during surgical procedures under surgeon supervision.
• Assist in positioning, skin preparation and draping of patients.
• Maintain sterile environment and aseptic technique throughout surgery.
• Assist with hemostasis and closure of body planes during operations.
• Transport patient post-operatively and prepare operating room for next procedure.
