Job summary

Silver Wings Aerospace is seeking a CSD/IDG Test Technician I to perform functional tests on CSD (Constand Speed Drive) and IDG (Integrated Drive Generator) per the CMM. You will work with test stands and calibration tools, performing routine and preventative maintenance in compliance with FAA requirements.

You will assist engineers with new repair capabilities, manage test data logs, and ensure timely delivery of tested units while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work as a team member and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of aviation fuel methods and processes planning/organizing.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, SRM and CMM.
  • Familiar with FAR and regulatory requirements for aviation maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional testing of CSD and IDG per CMM.
  • Familiarize with test stands and equipment related to CSD/IDG.
  • Perform routine, non-routine and preventative maintenance on test equipment per FAA and company policies.
  • Maintain test stand logs and ensure timely delivery of units to meet OTD deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety directives and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Overview of Responsibilities

of the CSD/IDG Test Technician, The Test Technician I shall functional test CSD (Constand Speed Drive) and IDG (Integrated Drive Generator) per CMM. CSD/IDG Test Technician shall familiarize himself with test stands and other test equipment related to the CSD/IDG. CSD/IDG Test Technician shall also perform routine, non-routine and preventative maintenance on all test equipment according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Silver Wings Aerospace.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management.
  • Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, to customer supplications and regulatory requirements.
  • Use appropriate testing techniques, and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished.
  • Utilizes the proper test equipment or suitable alternative and perform s preventative as needed.
  • Records information and accomplishes the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received Maintain open two-way communication with Manager and team mates appropriately sharing both good and bad news
  • Provide units in a timely manner to meet company OTD deadlines.
  • Maintain personal and shop calibrated tools is satisfactory operational condition.
  • Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.

  • You must be able to provide your own tools.
  • Must be capable of using standard tools to include but not limited to; screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, multi-meters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement, safety wire pliers, or any other tool required for a particular maintenance function.
  • Experience in aircraft manufacturing, installation, and repair/overhaul of aircraft components. Familiar with aircraft specifications as applied to final and in-process inspections.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aircraft Regulations (FAR).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Standard Repair Manuals (SRM), & component maintenance manuals (CMM).
  • Work overtime as required by production requirements.
