Job summary

SaVida Health in Culpeper, VA seeks an independently licensed clinician to provide mental health and substance use counseling in an outpatient setting. This role emphasizes collaborative care, accurate documentation, and timely coordination with providers and managed care organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in counseling or social work, licensure (LCSW or LPC), and at least one year of experience in substance use and mental health counseling, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work or other allied health field; independent licensure (LCSW/LPC) in good standing.
• At least 1 year experience in substance misuse treatment.
• At least 1 year experience in mental health counseling.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience providing individual, couples and/or group counseling; diverse populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer skills including EMRs, MS Word and MS Excel preferred
• Bilingual/bicultural abilities preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of quality care as evidenced by documentation/communication with collaborative providers and agencies
• Provide referrals for alternative levels of care as needed
• Act as client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
• Document all clinical content per agency requirements
• Review client progress on a quarterly basis and update treatment plans to reflect changes in treatment plan goals
